The global "Love with the Wind" charity program is one of the ways MSI Notebook expresses its commitment to corporate social responsibility as well as caring and contributing to the community. The program was launched with a donation of MSI Wind Netbook U100 notebooks to remote communities in support of the Ministry of Education and Executive Yuan's efforts to improve the standard of education and bridge the digital divide for these areas. These helped remote communities reach out and connect with the rest of the world and online resources in tangible ways.
After warming the hearts of many communities with the first round of donations, MSI Notebook recently announced a second round of "Love with the Wind" donations. Digital Opportunity Centers (DOC) that made outstanding use of their computers will now receive more MSI Wind Netbook U100 units to help bridge the digital divide even more.
The Dacheng DOC used the MSI Wind Netbook U100 to run awareness programs, teaching activities, in-service training, give presentations and support events.
2nd Place: Wind U100 x 2 - Jiji DOC, Nantou County
The Jiji DOC employed the MSI Wind Netbook for playing presentations of DOC accomplishments, collation of routine data, outdoor excursions for the digital photography class and watching videos.
3rd Place: Wind U100 x 2 - Caolu DOC, Chiayi County
The Caolu DOC used its MSI Wind Netbook U100 for teaching presentations and children's toy workshops.
Other DOCs also received another MSI Wind Netbook U100. These included the Shuangi DOC in Taichung, the Beiyuan DOC in Taitung, the Luye DOC in Taitung, the Caoling DOC in Yunlin County, the Yuanliao DOC in Pingtung, the Sinmin DOC in Nantou County and the Tongluo DOC in Miaoli County.
The MSI Notebook Love Blog also exchanged links with the Ministry of Education's DOC website to symbolize MSI Notebook's continued support for efforts to bridge the digital divide and the hope that there will more opportunities in the future for MSI Notebook to show that it cares in tangible ways.
