For Typhoon Morakot disaster, MSI take action to rebuild the campus.

Typhoon Morakot had destroyed the southern Taiwan on August 8th. Not only people’s houses were damaged, but also many schools were ruined.

When the children returned to school, there was still a lot of serious damage to computer equipment in school. And these computers can not be used.

Therefore, MSI take the responsibility to sent love for the disaster areas. MSI donated a total of 552 computers for 67 primary schools to help students are able to keep learning. MSI expect to extend this kind of aid to each affected areas, and help more victims can return their normal life.

MSI Donated 20 Computers to Assist the Disaster Area of Typhoon Morakot.

Typhoon Morakot had devastated the southern Taiwan on August 8th.

In order to assist victims to rebuild their homeland, MSI donated 20 computers to social workers, let them to help gathering the urgent information and requirements from victims.

Ensure the information can be passed out at the first time, and gained the most accurate help from all social circles.

MSI sponsored 20 computers for Chung Yuan Christian University Volunteer Team to assist Cambodia to reduce the digital divide.

August 2009, a volunteer team from Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) which is going to Cambodia, was received a gift from MSI technology. MSI technology donated 20 computers to the “Endless love of Cambodia charity” program.

This program tries to help Cambodia government to build up more computer classrooms and help them to reduce the digital divide. Donation ceremony was held on 5th August in Chung Yuan Christian University. It’s a good cooperation paragon between enterprise and schools.

The CYCU volunteer team is also going to provide their IT and arts training course for the Wat Bo Primary School at a remote area in Cambodia. They will provide different courses for teachers, and help them become the first school which has integrated computer education environment in Siem Reap.

There are 4000 students and teachers in Wat Bo Primary School. After MSI technology sponsors this program, the local children have more opportunities to access computers.

MSI Supports Charities Around the World Donates Wind U100 to Help Nepal Develop e-Education Infrastructure

【Taipei】 The leading IT brand MSI not only focuses on developing new markets but is also committed to fulfilling its corporate social responsibility by supporting environmental protection, giving back to society and taking an active role in social welfare initiatives around the world. MSI has now partnered with the Yuan Ze University and the Ecological Protection Forum in Nepal to support the construction of e-classrooms and infrastructure in Nepal. The program will develop persistent e-education services for Nepalese school children and help local schools set up e-classrooms.


In keeping with the company's emphasis on giving back to society, MSI has elected to donate a batch of all new Wind U100 netbooks to the Yuan Ze University New Leaders' Nepalese education support team. The netbooks will be used by the team when they travel to Nepal on July 1 to take part in a 20-day international volunteer e-education session. There they will help train the teaching cadre, set up computer classrooms and libraries. At the end of the session, the netbooks will be donated to the local elementary schools for long-term use.
While attending the donation ceremony at Yuan Ze University, MSI Marketing Director Sam Chern stated that MSI has always been committed to support charity initiatives around the world. The latest e-classroom and infrastructure program for Nepal will not only help the e-education of Nepalese school children but will also raise Taiwan's profile in the international community. These made it all the more important for MSI as a leading international IT vendor to take part. Chern noted that MSI support is available in Nepal as well. This will ensure that the donated Wind U100 netbooks will be properly supported and can offer persistent long-term service.

MSI donated million NTD for disadvantaged students

In respond to Taipei County Government’s Charity plan, MSI International co., donated NTD 2,215,660 to the charity subsidy of Education Bureau, Taipei County. By utilizing MSI charity donation, Taipei County Government helped 669 disadvantaged students from 32 elementary schools and one junior high school to pay their daily nutrition lunch fee.

Microsoft, MSI and NTNU Special Education Work on Computer Access for the Disabled(by Economic Daily News)

(Economic Daily News, Tseng Ren-kai) Today Microsoft Taiwan, MSI and the National Taiwan Normal University made a joint announcement on the launch of the "Computer Accessibility Resource for Educators" program to research and develop information technology and broadcasting teaching resources for students with special needs.
Microsoft Taiwan introduced the ICT assistance tools manual it produced in partnership with Tokyo University and drew on the expertise of the NTNU Special Education Center to compile the CARE computer manual; 30 notebook computers of various models were donated by MSI for use in education and promotion.
Through this collaboration between hardware technology and special education, they hope more technology companies can be inspired to take part in helping to expand learning opportunities for special education teachers and students with disabilities so they can reach out to the world. MSI Wind U100s Donated to Disabled Students in Vietnam

As part of it global charity program, on 24 December 2008, MSI Notebooks donated 40 MSI Wind U100s to disabled students in Vietnam.

The event, jointly organized by MSI Notebooks, the Tuoi Tre Newspaper, and the HCMC Youth Alliance, was integrated into a program entitled “Vi ngay mai phat trien” (For the Development of Tomorrow) promoted by the Tuoi Tre Newspaper.

The MSI Wind U100s were specifically offered to physically disabled students from post-secondary schools in Hochimin City. Candidates who participate in extracurricular activities, study IT, are faced with financial difficulties, are orphans, or lack family support were given priority.

40 outstanding students, who overcame their disabilities and other hardships to earn high scores in college or university were selected to receive the MSI Wind U100s.

MSI Brings Love to Remote Areas

MSI’s global philanthropic efforts target Taiwan in a second wave of events! MSI is donating a second batch of MSI Wind U100s to ten outstanding Digital Opportunity Centers (DOC) chosen from the Ministry of Education’s 40 Digital Opportunity Centers. MSI representatives visited Digital Opportunity Centers in four remote regions – Chiayi Lucao, Nantou Jiji, Nantou Shingming, and Changhwa Dachen. DOC personnel were all very excited upon the arrival of MSI representatives and expressed their gratitude for the gift of MSI Wind U100.

2008 CUVA Results are In – MSI U100 Brings Love to Campus

After more than 2 months of intense competition, the 3rd CUVA Chinese University Volleyball Association championship came to a successful conclusion on December 28, 2008, with the China University of Petroleum, Beijing, and the Changchung Normal University becoming the men’s and women's teams champions respectively. At the same time, the U100 Love on Campus campaign organized by the leading international notebook maker MSI also began showing results as well.

The 2008~2009 CUVA A-grade men's volleyball final was held on December 27 in the sports center of the Southwest University of Political Science & Law. There, the visiting team from the China University of Petroleum defeated the SWUPL to become the men's volleyball champions. The women's volleyball final was held on December 28 at the Changchun Normal University sports center. There, the home team from CNU defeated the visiting Shandong Normal University to become the women's champions.
